Will the initial cleaning take longer?

Yes, the initial cleaning typically takes longer than subsequent visits. This allows Smart Way Maids to bring your space up to our high standards, provide the deep cleaning it deserves, and get familiar with your home’s unique needs.

No, it’s not necessary, but the choice is entirely yours. Many of our clients aren’t home during their cleaning appointments and prefer to provide access through one of the following methods:

  • Garage Code: Clients may share a garage code for convenient home access.
  • Lockbox: Clients can purchase a lockbox to store a key securely and provide Smart Way Maids with the access code.
  • Being Present: Clients can choose to be home to allow access on the day of service.

We prioritize your comfort and security, so choose the method that works best for you!

We clean Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Appointments are scheduled in two arrival windows:

  • Morning: 8:00 a.m.
  • Afternoon: Arriving between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

We absolutely love pets and will treat them with care and respect as if they were our own. Please let us know any specific instructions regarding your pets, and we will note them on our work order. This ensures our cleaning technicians are aware of and follow your preferences to keep your furry friends safe and comfortable during the cleaning.

Tipping is not required but is always appreciated as a gesture of recognition for excellent service. Some clients prefer to tip after each cleaning, while others choose to give a larger tip at the end of the year. If leaving cash, please clearly mark it as a tip. You can also add tips to your credit card payment. Rest assured, 100% of the tips go directly to the cleaning technicians who performed the service.
Yes, Smart Way Maids is fully insured, licensed, and bonded, ensuring your protection and peace of mind. Unlike many independent maid services, our insurance shields homeowners from liability. Additionally, we handle all employee payroll and income taxes, so you are never responsible for these obligations. We aim to provide a completely worry-free cleaning experience for our clients.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 business hours’ notice. Since we are closed on weekends, any changes to a Monday appointment must be communicated by the Friday prior. This policy helps us adjust schedules and ensure our team operates efficiently.
No, there’s no contract required. You are free to cancel the service at any time.
If something is broken or damaged, our team is trained to photograph it and report it immediately without reprimand. While our staff takes great care with every space, accidents can occasionally happen. Once reported, our office will promptly contact you to discuss a fair resolution. To help prevent incidents, we recommend storing irreplaceable or delicate items and informing us of any specific concerns when booking your service.
We do! Smart Way Maids comes to your home fully equipped to clean with top-quality products and commercial vacuums. However, because Smart Way Maids is flexible, if requested and provided, we may clean with your preferred products.
We only pick the best! Our cleaning technicians are experienced, trained, careful, reliable, and honest employees. We keep a close eye on our staff, and if they don’t love their job and care deeply about their performance, they don’t stick around.
We encourage it! Special instructions will enhance the cleaning experience you receive. However, it is very important you communicate any special instructions directly to the office so that we can place them in the permanent notes section of your file. This makes your notes available to any cleaning technician who may clean your home in the future, as well as a reminder for your regular cleaning technician.
We make our best efforts to send the same cleaning techs each time. It’s the most efficient, but we do not guarantee it. We are managing both our staff’s and clients’ needs, which are constantly in flux. If you are sent an alternate cleaning technician, our staff have access to detailed information about your preferences and requests to ensure the consistency of our services.
Payments are due at the time of service. We will charge your credit card on file after your cleaning has been completed.

We observe the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

 

If a routine cleaning falls on one of these holidays, we will contact you in advance to reschedule your cleaning. We work on many federal holidays. Unless you cancel service, you can expect us to arrive as scheduled, as long as your cleaning date falls on any holiday except those stated above.
